Diagnostic Radiology Physician

Location: 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827

Job Type: Onsite - Full time

Shift: Monday-Friday (7:30 AM-4:30 PM) No weekend or holiday

Responsibilities: Included but not limited to

• The physician must have board certification in Diagnostic Radiology and experience in interpreting various image modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray, etc), and provide fellowship training in body imaging, MSK Radiology, and Neuroradiology services.
• The physician should also be able to apply current knowledge about the gamut of MRI contrast agents, including choice of agent, composition, risks and benefits, appropriate use, and dosing.
• Must be responsible for all aspects of the study, including, but not limited to, reviewing indications for the examination, specifying the pulse sequences to be performed, interpreting images, generating official interpretations (final reports), and assuring the quality of the images and the interpretations.
• All physicians performing MRI examinations should demonstrate evidence of continuing competence in the interpretation and reporting of those examinations
• Shall assume these responsibilities for MR Imaging for all anatomical areas, except for cardiac imaging
• Documentation of any postoperative care should be forwarded to the referring physicians as well as to any other physician who may have an interest in the ongoing care of the patient.
• Maintaining high-quality image interpretation.
• Communicating knowledgeably about potential interventions to the referring physician

Requirements & Experience:

• Shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology
• Current, Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state
• ACLS, BLS and EHR
• One year of specialized experience which includes performing diagnostic radiographic examination, providing training or education in radiology to staff/students, and setting up the examination room or preparing or administering contrast material
• Education
  • One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Diagnostic Radiology/ Radiography
