About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director - CNIO to serve as a senior nurse executive and strategic liaison in the development and implementation of informatics strategies that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and experience of nursing and clinician practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Health Informatics Officer and senior leadership across various clinical and operational domains to advance the practice of nursing, improve clinician experience, and optimize the use of electronic health record and associated technologies. This role is pivotal in leading efforts to implement virtual nursing solutions, reduce documentation burden, and enhance the adoption of workflow efficiency tools. The Executive Director - CNIO will also be responsible for defining standard EHR work for nursing and assisting in the streamlining of optimization. Applicants for the Executive Director - CNIO position at the company must have a minimum of an MSN or Masters in Informatics, or equivalent experience, with at least 10 years of progressively responsible clinical and informatics experience. A strong background in nursing informatics, including expert-level knowledge of Epic nursing workflows, is essential. The role requires a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, particularly in the area of improving nursing practice through informatics. A DNP or PhD in Nursing/Informatics is preferred, and AHIC certification is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare industry trends in informatics, technology, nursing practice, and clinical operations, and experience in a complex, matrixed organization. The Executive Director - CNIO will lead through influence and work with leaders across the health system to ensure the successful implementation of informatics strategies that support quality across the continuum of care.
