Project Manager with TXDOT experience - Geotechnical Geotechnical Project Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager with expertise in Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) projects. The ideal candidate will lead geotechnical investigations and foundation design, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards while managing project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical projects for TxDOT, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses, including site assessments and soil mechanics evaluations.
• Design foundations and provide recommendations based on geotechnical data and project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate geotechnical designs into overall project plans.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and address any concerns or changes.
• Oversee compliance with environmental regulations and quality control standards during project execution.
• Manage risks associated with geotechnical activities and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical project management, specifically with TxDOT.
• Strong knowledge of foundation design and soil mechanics.
• Experience with site investigations and construction materials.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations affecting geotechnical projects.
• Excellent project management skills including budget management and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical reporting.
